Quality Control Center for Medical Laboratory – University of Medicine and Pharmacy Ho Chi Minh City was established by decision of the Ministry of Health with the task of implementing test quality management, including units of the Central government, ministries / branches and 18 southern provinces from Da Nang to the bottom of the country and Center located at Hanoi Medical University is responsible for the northern provinces from Hue to the top of the country.

On 27/02/2016 The Prime Minister has approved project for increasing capability of medical test quality management system under Decision No. 316 / QD-TTg, to improve quality of control test quality for Medical Laboratory in the 2016-2025 period. With its functions, tasks and mission, Quality Control Center for Medical Laboratory – University of Medicine and Pharmacy Ho Chi Minh City has officially cooperated with the VINTECOM International in training, consulting  and implementing quality management system under new version standard ISO 9001: 2015 in the quality control activities, assessment and training human resources for managing medical test quality in the Center.

The quality management system implemented in accordance with international standard ISO 9001: 2015 to confirm and commitment of the Quality Control Center for Medical Laboratory management board strives to become one of the leading units in HCM City and throughout the country, at the same time comply with the functions and responsibilities was directed and supported by the Ministry of Health, President, Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy President as well as the relevant authorities.

The end of quality management system training course under standard ISO 9001: 2015 was carried out by training experts of VINTECOM International, on behalf of the agency Assoc. Prof.Dr Doctor Vu Quang Huy - Director of Quality Control Center for Medical Laboratory was appreciated the quality of training, professional training of VINTECOM International expert, at the same time reaffirming the desired Center early establishes and applies  quality management system under standard ISO 9001: 2015 with great success, bring practical efficiency value in response to the requirements, the great task of the Centre as well as the expectations of the leadership of all levels, and help for the sick, people have access to health care services with quality is increasing.
