The IATF 16949 standard was developed by IATF (International Automotive Task Force) to ensure quality in the car manufacturing industry taking into account customer and safety requirements. The new IATF 16949 standard was released in 2016 based on the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015, which adds other requirements of the automotive industry, especially the requirements. for developing new products, customer testimonials, and requiring processing capabilities and requiring continuous improvement.

To reach consensus on the basic international quality system requirements, primarily for participating companies, direct suppliers of manufactured materials, products or services or finishing services. (e.g. heat treatment, painting and plating). These requirements will also be available to other interested parties in the automotive industry.
