Unit IG2 – Risk Assessment

Chemical and biological agents
→ Hazards from chemical and biological agents and corresponding control measures.
General workplace issues
→ General workplace safety issues and preventive measures.
Work equipment
→ Safe use of work equipment, maintenance, and operational safety.
Fire
→ Fire hazards and fire risk control measures.
Electricity
→ Electrical hazards and preventive safety measures.
This unit focuses on identifying, assessing, and controlling workplace hazards, including:
+ Risks affecting physical and psychological health
+ Musculoskeletal risks
+ Hazards from chemicals and biological agents
+ General workplace safety issues
+ Work equipment and machinery safety
+ Fire safety
+ Electrical safety
Upon completion of the course, learners are required to conduct a practical workplace risk assessment in accordance with NEBOSH methodology.
